Hi! I'm aware a lot of people hate this company, but I have given them a second chance (as seen before on my other reviews). I have personally never had a bad experience with them! And I am a sucker for their packaging. That being said, I have been desperate to have a couple of their lipsticks! I bought their bright pink (Great Pink Planet), and their lilac (D'lilac). Honestly, I have wanted both of these colors since I was 14.
These both retail for $18 plus shipping, but if you have amazon prime you can get them for just $18! :)
As seen above, GPP (left) came in their limited addition packaging. I thought they ran out, but i suppose not. D'lilac came in regular packaging (which I honestly prefer).
Arm swatches! These colors are pretty pigmented! Both colors are "white-based", making them very bright and pastel! Both colors are pretty thick, while swatched on the arms. And they both have a pale-vanilla smell.
It is hard to see in this photo, but GPP sinks in my lip lines very much. This is common with white-based pink lipsticks, though considering this is originally worth $18 (i bought it for $9), you would think it would avoid this. It also gives a very odd texture to my lips. I recommend putting concealer and powder over your lips before applying. Despite the thickness, it is still creamy and transfers; not kiss proof. And it leaves a hot dark pink stain after removal! I love this color, it probably doesn't look that good on me, but it is fun! On the lips it is pretty 'neon'.
D'lilac on the lips is a lot less neon than GPP. Honestly, it is probably more wearable. This color gives less texture on my lips than the pink, and is quite thing. You could alone wearing powder and concealer with this, but as you can see, the redness around my lips shows. So probably doing it anyway would make it more cleaner, since we all don't have a lilac lip liner. This color is not matte either and can transfer.
All in all, would I recommend these? It is different for both colors. Great Pink Planet needs a lot more work, and is not worth $18. On the other hand, D'lilac is a lot better and I would recommend it!
Great Pink Planet: /5
D'lilac:/5
Thank you for reading!
